ECCE CLUB
The Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) club's mission is to bring ECCE students from the beginning of year one of their certificate through to year four of their degree to allow students of all ages and points in their career to engage in a positive environment. This clubs key role is one of support for all students and acting on the current political issues faced by the ECCE field in general (ie. $20 for ECE). The aim of this working group would be to allowe students (and political studets during openhouse times) to be together in and out of class space. This would give students a sense of freedom to discuss difficult or personal issues that they may not want to bring up in a large group - mentors would then be chosen to help that student.
As a whole, those of us who choose to go into ECCE do so out of passion to help teach/learn with young children and their families. Many of us have been waiting many years for this degree and would love to see Capilano University at the forefront for this program.
